The little book of Flow
UPDATE: If you've landed here you might like to know that this has now been re-written and you can read the updated version here: The little book of Flow - revised
Whilst 'on leave' from blogging I started to write an a piece on 'Flow'. The idea was that I could use the exercise to review what I had learnt to date, and also post it on this weblog by way of introduction to the stuff I blog about here. Well, one thing led to another and I suppose I must have got carried away because it's ended up as a book. Not a big book (50 A4 pages), but big enough to make it a bit much to swallow in one (blog) lump, so I'm going to post a chapter a day for the next 12 days.
Here are the chapters to 'The Little book of Flow'
- Introduction
- Thinking about thinking
- Why the flow state is so illusive
- Real choice - the power of our Free Will
- Flow on demand
- Towards a permanent Flow State
- A short cut to Perpetual Flow
- A miraculous way of getting things done
- Overcoming our resistance to Flow
- Allowing quantum principles to work in our life
- The takeaway - 4 steps to Flow
- Summary of this Little book of Flow
I'll make each of the above chapter titles into a hyperlink as I post each one.
This is very much a first draught of what I hope will eventually become a publishable book. It's my first attempt at writing/publishing so any criticism/feedback/pointers would be really appreciated. I have been known to get a bit over zealous when going on about this sort of thing so please let me know if this comes through in the writing.
Thank you.
PS. I haven't really thought about a title. 'The Little book of Flow' is very unoriginal but I guess it does describe what it is. I was thinking of subtitling it 'how to let the creative power of the universe flow through our life', - you'll see where I'm coming from after reading the book but I know it does sound a bit cheesy.
PSS. Chapter 7 gets much of its copy from my previous post 'Blogging's hidden jewel' so if you read the post you might want to skip this chapter.
